New year, new introduction 🙂 Sebastian joined our merry team at the beginning of December and dived right into a huge pile of tasks, so we had to postpone his presentation here for a while. Almost two months later, he has fully transformed into a true Carrot and perfectly contributes his various skills, which span from art to science. Glad to have you on board! Now tell us a little bit more about you…
Who are you and what do you do at Chasing Carrots?
Hi, I’m Sebastian and intern at Chasing Carrots. While I spend most of my time with coding and Unity stuff, I also help out with creating 3D art when needed.
How and why did you become a game developer?
Well, I’m still working on that… Currently, I’m a virtual design student in Kaiserslautern. My passion for game development probably started with me messing around with modding Half Life in my teens. After a small detour studying Physics, I found my calling in modeling and programming. And well … some years of university … and here I am now with the other Carrots.
What kind of games do you like?
I’m a big pen & paper roleplaying fan, writing and playing campaigns with my friends. If I had to make a list of my all-time favorite video games it would be: Fallout 3, Final Fantasy X, Starcraft, Skyrim and Kerbal Space Program
What was your first gaming experience?
My first PC gaming experience was probably running around the island of Myst and not understanding anything that was going on. The first PC game I owned and played a lot was C&C Tiberium Conflict.
If you could be a game character, you would be…?
I don’t know what character exactly I would want to be, but he should definitely be a character out of the Dark Eye universe. It is such an interesting world with so many different characters to pick from.
